Pricing

CIC exams are affordable. Candidates choose what they want and CIC's online registration provides candidates with the full cost of written exams up front; thus, avoiding unpleasant surprises and extra effort of paying multiple times.

Processing Fees for Written Exams

• Exam registration fees are non-refundable.
• Pricing is for all written exams that are registered at one time and taken on the same day, if a candidate wants to take tests on different days they will need to register on subsequent days restarting at the top price category.
  
• Certain sites may have a 5 person minimum.
• Requests for paper exams at electronic sites incur a $12.50/exam handling fee.
• Written exam site and examiner fees are collected at time of registration for convenience.
• ‡ If testing site schedule allows for this many exams in one day.
  

Processing Fees for Practical Exams

Candidates only need to pass one CIC Practical Exam for any number of crane operator certifications. Practical Exam Sites and Practical Examiners set their own prices. Contact your local examiners for quotes.

Rush Registration

• CIC exams can be registered with only 7 days advance notice of the exam date for no additional fee.
• Requests for a rush registrations 6 or fewer days prior to the exam, are made directly with Rush Exam Sites.
• See the Exam Site page for a list of Rush Exam Sites.
• CIC charges $50/candidate to process rush registrations, and may change one $50/shipment for shipping and handling if paper exams are used.
• Rush Exam Sites may have additional fees.
• CIC is not responsible for exam sites that cannot accommodate short notice registrations.

Rescheduling Date or Location

• Exams can be rescheduled anytime up to 1 year from the initial registration invoice date.
• Exams can be rescheduled at any available exam site.
• To reschedule an exam, the buyer simply logs in to www.CICert.com, clicks on the Candidate Exam Site tab, selects the new location, date, and completes payment.

Rescheduling Fees:

• If rescheduled 7 or more days in advance the reschedule fee is $25/candidate.
• If rescheduled 6 or fewer days in advance of exam, or after the exam, the reschedule fee is $50/candidate plus the written site fee.
• No fee is charged when an exam is cancelled or rescheduled by the exam site.

Please note:

• Exam registration fees are non-refundable if the exam is not taken within 1 year of the initial invoice date.
• Exam Registration fees are nontransferable (to other exams or candidates) in most situations.
• Exams cannot be rescheduled after they are started.
• CIC cannot guarantee site availability.

Credit for Exam Fees:

An employer may receive credit for CIC processing fees for unused exams if the employee has left the company or is deceased. To obtain the credit, the employer must:

1.    Notify employee of test and payment cancellation
2.    Provide employment termination and test cancellation letters to help@4roi.com
3.    Apply for credit at least 7 days prior to the unused test dates via help@4roi.com or 763-476-4242
4.    Call 763-476-4242, at least 7 days prior to test date to register new candidate(s) using the credits
5.    Pay a $50 change fee plus the written or practical exam site fees
6.    Use the credit within 12 months of original candidate's test date

A terminated employee may pay or have their new company pay fees for certification and complete their certification by calling 763-476-4242.
