PLEASE NOTE: For your convenience, passing one written and practical exam earns a Certified Rigger & Signalperson card from CIC. 

CIC makes it easy for either individual crane operators, rigger/signelpersons or organizational coordinators to register candidates for certification. The complete process is shown below.

During registration you will be given a username and password to reenter the system anytime to check certification status.

Provide Contact
Information

 

The contact information is for the person buying the certification exams, an individual crane operator, rigger/signalperson, or an organizational coordinator.

 

 

 

 


Confirm e-Mail

 

The buyer confirms the email address by replying to an email, to insure that important certification information is being received by the person who supplies the contact information.

 

 

 

 


Register Candidate(s)

 

Provide contact information for the people seeking certification (if different from the buyer). Ensure that the name matches the persons US Government-issued ID exactly.

Certification requires passing a written and practical exam for each certification.*

You may choose any available CIC site. For your convenience, you are shown exam sites that are closet to the desired location.

Pay Online

 

Pay with credit card or Pay Pal. Large organizational clients can contact CIC directly for PO options.

 

 

 

 

Receive Exam
Confirmation e-Mail

 

Receive the confirmation email of the exact exam location, date and time.

* Crane Operator Certification requires passing the General Knowledge exam and a Supplemental for each crane certification.  If more than one Crane Operator Certification is being sought, select only the Practical Exam for the largest crane type.  Multiple Practical Exams are not necessary.

Rigger/Signalperson Certification only requires that you register for one exam. The Written and Practical Exams are given at the same time.
