Training

As stated in CIC's Training Policy, CIC does not endorse any training company or process, nor does it provide a course of study that leads to certification. However, CIC does recognize the value of quality training to persons planning to take certification exams.  Training programs cannot “teach” the exams, but good training will help students understand the knowledge required for crane operation and provide the hands-on practice that a crane operator must have to earn certification from CIC. For information on available training, type crane training program into your search engine for a list of companies.

Certification candidates may also choose to self-study and practice. Some useful references are are provided within this site. Hands-on experience is also important.
