Be a Practical Exam Site

Whether you are a work site, crane rental company, or training firm, you may apply to have your site approved to conduct CIC Practical Exams. Being able to test locally saves time and money. It can also be a great way to generate revenue.

CIC Practical Exams are efficient to set up and administer, yet provide a complete and valid measurement of a candidate's skills as an operator.

Process

The process is easy to follow:

  1. Meet the Practical Exam Site Requirements
  2. Identify your organization's Exam Site Coordinator (see coordinator Responsibilities)
  3. Submit your Application and $195 fee
  4. Complete the Site Prep to conduct exams

You should apply to become an exam site six (6) weeks prior to the date of the first exam to be given.

When approved, your site will be able to administer exams for one (1) year subject to periodic audits by CIC to ensure ongoing compliance with standards.

To administer exams at your site, you will need to supply the appropriate cranes and necessary exam equipment, as well as to secure a CIC Practical Examiner and Proctor.
